Tangerine Citrus reticulata
Cold pressed from the tangerine peel. Useful for skin in a variety of ways- oily, congested, combination, acne, scars, pimples, and stretch marks. Maybe toning, antiseptic-spasmodic and calming. Psychologically tangerine is uplifting, but also calms excitation and helps with mild insomnia and restlessness. Older oils may be phototoxic. May be a skin irritant. Tangerine and mandarin essential oil have almost identical properties. Mandarin is a more eastern and oriental fruit, while tangerine thrives in North America.
