Savory Summer Satureia hortensis

Savory Summer Satureia hortensis

Summer savory oil may be diffused in the air, or diluted and rubbed in a carrier oil to boost the immune system. It is antifungal. It can be used with a carrier oil and massaged on for rheumatism or joint pain. Mix with salt water and gargle for a sore throat.

Do not use when pregnant, with small children or pets. Summer savory is one of my husband’s favorites, as the scent reminds him of Thanksgiving dinner with his mother.
