It is thought to be anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-infectious and regenerative. It may prevent scarring. It may also regulate puffy skin. Mentally it is used to calm and regulate the nervous system. It may balance sebum and have analgesic properties. It may also help balance blood pressure and teething pains. A sedative in low doses, but stimulating in high amounts. May cause dermatitis in some people. Avoid in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Dilute before using with sensitive skin, or anyone under the age of 10.
